In the June 1880 census an Honora Harper, 40, born in Ireland, a widow and laundress, lives two doors from the boarding house where Michael Harper had just arrived (S14). She may be a sister of Patrick Harper — which would explain why Michael went straight to Pittsburgh — but nothing yet connects them.
